Our Eco Garden
We had fun helping to build our eco garden. The Friends Association made the beds for us and we filled them up with earth with our wheelbarrows and spades. We have also got a big black bin compost and a log pile. We are hoping to put a pond in one of the beds soon and we hope to have some solar powered fountains.
We planted some potatoes, beans, peas, strawberries and marrows but we had a lot of trouble with slugs and didn’t get to pick much for the Harvest Festival.
We will have to find a way of stopping the slugs next year and put some of our compost back in the ground so the plants will grow better.
