Garden Project

This took place on the 9th June where everybody worked hard to cut, strim, plant, water and generally tidy and clear. Lots of parents and younger siblings helped in the afternoon. Some of the children found frogs so we decided to leave the grass longer around the edges so they had somewhere to keep safe.

We planted beans, carrots, courgette, peas, strawberries, marrows, beetroot and pumpkins from seeds and all the children helped. Parents were showing them how to sow seeds depending on whether the plant grew up above the ground or below the ground such as carrots.

June 25th

Our fruit and vegetables are growing well. We have been taking it in turns to water them and weed the area. Annie's mum has brought in sunflower plants which we have planted beneath the gazebo and Casey's mum has given us some more tomato plants!
