Parracombe's Got Talent 2009

On Friday 13th it was talent not bad luck that made an appearance at the Hunter's Inn in the Heddon Valley when the Parracombe children took to the floor.

In front of a panel of judges including Parracombe's own self-styled 'Nasty Nick' they demonstrated a wide range of skills from hoola hooping and musical theatre to stand up comedy and devil sticks and as you can see from the attached photo our stand up comedian Ollie Budd enjoyed his routine every bit as much as the audience did.
Try as he might even 'Nasty Nick' found it hard to find a bad thing to say and by the end of evening was forced to admit that "Yes Parracombe has got Talent."

Many thanks are due to Yoli, Emi and Sam who put the whole thing together. Yoli said she was hugely impressed by the amount of talent she uncovered and by the children's confidence and willingness to get up in front of a room full of people and do their thing.

The evening was rounded off with a group performance and several ex-Parracombe pupils now at Ilfracombe College took the opportunity to join in and get back to their roots.

I think just about every family from the school was there which is typical of the level of support we're lucky enough to receive.
