Harvest Festival 2009

On Friday 18th September all of the children enjoyed a lovely stroll in the sunshine down to the church to celebrate their Harvest Festival as part of the church’s flower festival. The church looked beautiful with fruit, flowers and vegetables decorating every pillar, windowsill and pew end.

There was a display of seasonal fruit and vegetable pictures made by the children of the Art & Craft Club.

The infants gave a performance of ‘The Enormous Turnip’ with some fantastic masks and the juniors gave a very entertaining rendition of ‘Harvest - the V factor’.

The food which the children brought to the church as part of their celebration will be delivered to a local residential care home.
