Invaders and Settlers - our Roman soldier, Bruttius
The photos tell the story of how the Roman soldier
Bruttius was created. Each child was involved in his creation with
theit TA Wendy Kelly. The overarching theme was titles Invaders and
Settlers and the children had the opportunity to explore and learn
about Romans, Vikings and Celts. The children made a Roman road, wrote
a Roman newspaper, explored Celtic tattoos and learnt about Viking long
boats.
The children were so proud of their efforts that they wrote to Blue Peter and sent in photos of him and they were absolutely delighted to receive Blue Peter badges for the whole of the junior class.
