Forest's Watercolour River Paintings

Posted: Apr 30, 2021 by: Harmony Constant (harmony.constant) on: Celebrating Learning

What a fabulous week the children have had. We have been focusing on finishing our descriptive poems, using watercolour paintings as inspiration as well as Valerie Bloom's 'The River'. The focus of our English has been vocabulary choices and the effect our writing has on the reader. The children have produced some wonderfully artistic paintings, observing the foreground, background and layering effect. Payne's Grey (a mysterious blue-toned grey) was used to create the desired effect. Well done all - a fabulous result!
